Amherst, MA — Each year, the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce bestows A+ Awards to individuals and organizations that enrich the life of the community through their work in education, business, and civic engagement across the area that the Chamber serves (Amherst, Belchertown, Hadley, Leverett, Pelham, Shutesbury, and Sunderland) and the valley as a whole.

The Chamber is delighted to announce that nominations for the Annual A+ Awards are now open! The deadline for nominations is Friday, September 6.

“The A+ Awards provide a wonderful opportunity to reflect on achievements that our members have made over the last year and ensure that they are being recognized,” said Jacob Robinson, Executive Director of the Amherst Area Chamber. “If you know someone who has made a big impact on their community, I encourage you to submit a nomination.”

Nominate a community leader in any of the award categories:

Lifetime Achievement / Legacy Award: Recognizing remarkable individuals/businesses for their exceptional contributions to the Amherst area throughout their career, leaving a lasting impact for generations to come.

Leader in Innovation Award: Spotlighting visionary entrepreneurs who revolutionize the way we live, work, and learn in the Amherst area through their creative solutions and forward-thinking mindset.

Leader in Sustainability Award: Honoring businesses, organizations, or individuals dedicated to building a sustainable future for the Amherst area, preserving its vitality for generations to come.

Young Professional Award: Applauding the impressive achievements of young professionals who have made a significant impact and brought positive change to the Amherst area.

Community Service Award: Recognizing businesses, non-profits, or individuals whose outstanding work and outreach have greatly enriched the lives of the Amherst area community.

Chamber MVP: Celebrating an individual who truly embodies the mission of the Amherst Area Chamber as a champion for business and community development, serving as a convener, connector, and catalyst.

All nominations can be submitted online through the Chamber website at amherstarea.com/awards. Winners will be announced at the Annual A+ Awards Dinner on November 14, 2024 at the UMass Student Union Ballroom.
